Why are my contact details blocked in messages?
Blocked contact details in messages
For your safety, LemonSwan automatically blocks contact information (phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles, etc.) that is entered directly into messages during the initial phase of communication. This is a protective measure to prevent fraud and ensure that all members use our secure verification system.
As shown in the screenshots, we recommend using the official “Share contact details” button next to the message field. This feature allows our team to verify the authenticity of all shared contact details.
Why we block the direct sharing of contact details:
• To protect you from potential scammers who want to quickly continue communication outside the platform.
• To ensure that all contact details are properly verified.
• To keep a record of communications for security reasons.
• To prevent fraudulent activity on our platform.
If you are ready to share your contact details with someone you have been messaging, simply use the dedicated contact details sharing feature instead of entering this information directly into your messages.
